Yes. iStarTec installs solar thermal and underfloor heating and replumbs private houses across the Algarve, including in occupied homes. This is renovation and system replacement work — the company does not do one-off repairs, call-outs, maintenance contracts or drain clearing.

We do not do small repairs (a dripping tap, a broken cistern, blocked drains). For those, we recommend a local repair plumber — it will cost you less than sending our team out.
We do not do domestic service contracts or 24-hour call-outs. We concentrate on full renovations, where our technical experience makes a real difference.
We do not do natural gas installations or gas certifications. We recommend specialists for that part.

Both. Our 25+ year track record is in residential construction for developers, but we now also take on work for homeowners — provided it is a full renovation or a system replacement (solar, underfloor heating, the whole house replumbed). We do not do small repairs or one-off call-outs.
Yes. Most private clients want the system replaced without moving out. We phase the work to keep disruption down: we arrive early, protect the space, leave water and power available at the end of every day, and clean the work area before we go.
It depends on the service: solar thermal typically 2 to 3 days; underfloor heating in a villa between 1 and 2 weeks (with floor works); a full plumbing renovation 2 to 4 weeks. We always give you a detailed schedule before starting.
iStarTec warranty: 1 year on installation workmanship and 2 years on materials. Manufacturers add their own — Bosch up to 10 years on some collectors, Uponor 10 years on PEX pipe. You always get copies of the warranties in writing when the job is finished.
No. We focus on full renovations and system installations — we do not do domestic service contracts or 24-hour call-outs. For a single leak or breakdown, we recommend a local repair plumber.
Yes. A solar thermal installation for domestic hot water can qualify for the PRR / Environmental Fund energy efficiency programme and for the Portuguese income tax deduction on renewable energy equipment. We supply all the documentation you need to apply.
